Success Statements
Darnell
Indiana, April 2021
“My name is Darnell R. Cunningham, two-time honorably discharged, service-connected disabled veteran. During my job search, I had hastily scheduled an interview for a full-time position two days out with a prominent agency. To ensure that I was best prepared, I was going to need a little guidance. My DVOP (Disabled Veteran Outreach Program) specialist contacted Operation: Job Ready Veterans. A gentleman by the name of John Zeigler dropped what he was doing, instantly put the phone down, and met me at the Old Fort Harrison location in Indianapolis, Indiana. John is a 20+-year Army veteran, and I knew I couldn’t go wrong with his help and expertise.
One of OJRV’s services is to provide interview attire to the individuals they assist. I am a fairly large man (6’4″, 250+lbs.). At the time, nothing they had on hand in their very well-stocked clothing closet, which almost seemed like a boutique, would fit. To my surprise, Mr. Zeigler took me to a local clothing store and purchased what I needed on the spot. My gratitude to this organization is boundless, and I am humbled by their sincerity and genuine service attitude. I anticipate taking up a spot on their success board in the not-to-distant future, I mean that. These folks care. I will pass out cards and tell every vet I know seeking support in obtaining gainful employment about Operation: Job Ready Veterans. A timely, much-needed, and truly magnanimous organization. Thank you, OJRV!”
