FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Operation: Job Ready Veterans Receives Grant from the Oberweiler Foundation
Indianapolis, IN (April 2, 2025) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) is honored to announce a grant award from the Oberweiler Foundation. This grant will be used to assist Cook County, Illinois veterans with meaningful employment placement through OJRV’s One-on-One Career Transition Services program.
The OJRV One-on-One Career Transition Services program is a customizable, individualized program that assesses each client’s unique needs and crafts a career transition plan that assists a client with all the barriers to employment, whether that is through traditional job search services, such as resume building and interviewing skills, or more outside-the-box needs, such as specialized job equipment, access to software training programs, and other nontraditional barriers to employment.
“We are honored to have our mission recognized by the Oberweiler Foundation,” says OJRV Executive Director Gene Anderson. “We are very committed to the veterans and their families who call Cook County home and are excited to have an opportunity to provide our services to them through this grant. The Oberweiler Foundation understands the challenges that our veterans and their families face during career transition periods. The opportunities for Cook County veterans and their families just got a little brighter today.”
The grant period will run through the rest of 2025, but its impact will be felt for years to come.
