Operation: Job Ready Veterans Receives Charitable
Gift from the Call of Duty Endowment
Indianapolis, IN (March 15, 2022) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) is pleased to announce it has received a $600,000 charitable gift from the Call of Duty Endowment.
Throughout 2022, OJRV will be using this funding toward job placement services for 715 veterans, more than in any given year to date. OJRV will be providing one-on-one career transition services and programs to support the placement of these veterans.
Some of the one-on-one services OJRV will be offering include resume development and revision, cover letter development and revision, interview preparation and coaching, networking strategies, social media utilization, and job search assistance.
In addition, OJRV will be providing multiple programs supported by the Call of Duty Endowment funding. The Virtual Veterans Employment Transition Seminar (VETS) is a faster-paced version of OJRV’s in-person VETS course. The four virtual course modules focus on transition skills, value proposition statement development, civilian resume development, and interviewing skills. OJRV’s First Impressions Workshop is a specialized, three-hour workshop addressing mock interviews, healthy living techniques, and professional attire opportunities. The OJRV Federal Resume Workshop is a specialized, two-hour workshop focused on federal resume writing, performance-based interviewing, and USAJOBS profile development. All programs and services will be offered virtually and/or in-person as circumstances allow, while our Employment Transition Managers will continue to provide customized transition services for each client.
“We are privileged and honored to continue our collaboration with the Call of Duty Endowment. We are humbled by their commitment to our nation’s veterans. Their generous contribution to our mission, year after year, is helping us make a difference that truly transforms the lives of our veterans,” said OJRV Executive Director Gene Anderson.
The Call of Duty Endowment has funded the placement of more than 90,000 veterans in meaningful employment since its inception. The Call of Duty Endowment is building a community committed to getting veterans back to work, a mission Operation: Job Ready Veterans shares and strives toward every day.
