Operation: Job Ready Veterans Receives Grant from Duke Energy Foundation to Provide Career Transition Services to Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families
Indianapolis, IN (June 25, 2024) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) has received grant funding from Duke Energy Foundation to provide individualized career transition services to veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses.
OJRV’s One-on-One Career Transition Services help illuminate pathways to economic mobility and create a transformational and lasting impact on the lives of veterans, service members, and military families. Among the in-demand services OJRV will be offering at no cost to clients are individualized support for resume development, career interest and work value assessment, job search assistance, interview preparation, networking, social media utilization, and other direct support services to address individual barriers to employment.
“The Duke Energy Foundation grant will have a direct impact on military veterans and their families, changing their lives for the better,” shared OJRV Executive Director Gene Anderson. “Together, we are helping military-connected individuals achieve meaningful employment and become thriving members of their civilian communities. We are truly thankful to Duke Energy Foundation for investing in OJRV and the future of our Indiana community.”
OJRV Employment Transition Managers (ETMs) provide One-on-One Career Transition Services virtually and in person to OJRV clients. ETMs work directly with clients to provide support needed to address individuals’ unique barriers to employment and help clients achieve their career and employment goals. Through sustainable programs and job readiness resources, OJRV—along with partners like Duke Energy Foundation—positively impacts one person, one business, and one community at a time.
