Success Statements

“One of the biggest challenges I faced in looking for a job after leaving the military was seeking purpose. It seemed difficult to find an employer that provided both meaning and a culture I’m familiar with. If the job I was applying for didn’t have a veteran in the hiring process, it was like speaking a different language.
Josh helped with interview tips, resume consultations, and general awareness of the employment field. I had someone in my corner every step of the way as I transitioned out of the military mindset. Josh really took the time to understand what mattered to me and helped me find a job with an employer that had a strong sense of purpose.
One of the biggest ways Josh supported me was by helping me translate my experience taking what I’d done in the military and putting it into terms civilians understand and vice versa enabling me to confidently tell my story. What meant the most was that he didn’t just give me advice and disappear. He stayed with me through the entire journey. From the very beginning until I started my new job, I always had support, guidance, and someone checking in to make sure I was on track. It made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming and a lot more personal.
I am now working in the federal government as a Recruiter.
Many thanks to the Call of Duty Endowment for supporting organizations like OJRV. From the very beginning of my onboarding, OJRV went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed, informed, and supported. Josh took the time to walk me through my employment benefits in detail, patiently answering all my questions and making sure I put my best foot forward. Our interaction was extremely positive, and his professionalism, approachability, and genuine willingness to help made a huge difference.”
