Adam Bufka is the director of the Center for Career Advancement for the School of Health Sciences at Purdue Global. Adam joined Purdue Global in 2014, where he has spent over a decade advancing workforce and employer partnership initiatives. In his current capacity, Adam has implemented and led multiple military-focused initiatives supporting veteran and military-affiliated learners in their transition to civilian careers.

Adam began his career working as a group home counselor, mentoring young men transitioning from detention centers to community life. He then served as a career counselor for DuPage County, Illinois, where he developed a passion for helping dislocated and unemployed adults achieve stable employment. The move to Purdue Global in 2014 was a natural progression of his increased interest in career transition assistance.

Adam holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Carthage College and a graduate degree in psychology with a concentration in industrial/organizational psychology from Purdue Global. In addition to his duties as director of the Center for Career Advancement at the School of Health Sciences, Adam serves as an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Council on Military Transition to Education (CMTE).

Adam is a native of the Chicagoland area, where he currently resides with his wife and two sons.
