Success Statements

The next biggest challenge was the hiring process. The application process, resume writing, interviewing (virtual and in-person) process, luncheon rules, etc., were a massive learning experience.
Lastly, I was challenged to keep a positive attitude. I went from being a leader of leaders to being a candidate with undervalued experience. Mind you, I have an MBA, PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, and more, so I was humbled by the process.
Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) helped me project my capabilities and experience to be understood by a civilian company. Also, OJRV provided me with knowledge and training on the application process, resume writing, interviewing (virtual and in-person) process, luncheon rules, etc., which were massive learning experiences. OJRV even provided me with supportive services to help with my interview success.
The best help I received from OJRV was a support group of individuals believing in me. OJRV was present through the roller coaster of my transition. My Employment Transition Manager, Anna Kennelly, and the team lifted me on days I was down and cheered my good news.
The result of the assistance from OJRV was landing a lucrative, prestigious position with Anova as a construction project manager, representing the life science industry owners with the construction of new facilities ranging in value from $200 million to $500 million.
OJRV became like family, supporting me and keeping my chin up when life looked bleak.”
