“One of the biggest challenges I faced in looking for a job after leaving the military was fitting in. I felt like with different life experiences that I would not fit in with most people. But that really is not the case. A lot of the stuff you do in the military can transfer over to a civilian career.
Ryan at OJRV helped me with resume building and bought me two new dress shirts for interviews. Ryan also forwarded my resume to companies and contacts that he knew about. Every interaction between myself and Ryan was positive and insightful.
Ryan helped redo my resume and forwarded it to multiple places after the resume was complete. Once that was done, I got a few calls and emails with employers interested in setting up interviews. Ryan gave me a lot of confidence and told me that everything was going to work out. He was right—it did.
I had two interviews with one company that I was really wanting to work for, and then a final call to let me know that they chose me for the IT support assistant position. The position has great benefits and a great starting pay for someone starting out in my career field.
Ryan always reminded me that you must work hard for what you want. You must be willing to put in the work. You just have to go for it.”
