“When the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, I was in a remote role with a company that proved to be very strenuous and demanded much of my time. I found that my work-life balance was not sustainable, so I was forced to leave that position to focus more on being a single mother of my three young children. I was initially referred as a client through one of OJRV’s partner organizations, the Indianapolis Vet Center. After working on my resume with Mike Espinda and learning of an office staff opening at OJRV, I interviewed and was offered a position. Since starting on the OJRV team, I have been extremely grateful for the opportunity to grow within the company, and I have begun taking college classes to finish my degree. I continue to draw inspiration from seeing all the work done by our team in assisting veterans and family members with transition.”
