Indianapolis, IN (May 15, 2019) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) is pleased to announce it has recently received a grant from the Navient Foundation. The grant was awarded from the Foundation to support the mission of OJRV: bridging life’s transitional gaps for veterans, service members, and military families.

The grant will allow participants to attend their Veteran Employment Transition Seminar (VETS) free of charge. The seminar provides the tools, strategies, and networking connections that allow unemployed and underemployed veterans and family members to re-engage in the workforce at the appropriate level. The VETS course includes career interest and work value assessments, interview preparation, networking strategies, resume services, skills inventories, supportive services, and tactics for coping with change.

“We are grateful the Navient Foundation understands the career challenges veterans face and chose to provide a grant to give back to those who serve,” said Gene Anderson, executive director of OJRV.

The contribution was made in honor of Navient employee Sara Reasoner who earned the company’s quarterly leadership award.
