Operation: Job Ready Veterans Receives Grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation

Indianapolis, IN (January 5, 2021) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) is pleased to announce it has recently received a grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation (GGBCF).

OJRV will be using the funding will be used to provide vital one-on-one job search assistance and employment readiness support for unemployed and underemployed military-connected individuals in the Green Bay area. The grant awarded from the GGBCF was established to support self-sustainable Wisconsin military families through employment support. 

OJRV will be providing the following job search assistance and employment readiness services to military veterans, service members, and family members with this grant funding: transition plan development; career interest and work value assessments; career coaching; resume assistance; federal resume support; cover letter guidance; job search assistance; networking strategies, including introductions to potential employers; interview preparation and coaching; strategies for successful onboarding; employment readiness training; placement and retention support; and social media utilization. 

“We feel honored the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation heard of the veteran need in Wisconsin and awarded us with funding so we can become a part of the solution—meeting veterans at their point of need. We greatly anticipate working alongside the Foundation to support Wisconsin veterans and their families obtain stable careers in these uncertain times,” said Gene Anderson, Executive Director of OJRV. OJRV hopes to continue to extend their support into the Midwest throughout the 2021 calendar year, and their partnership with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation has set a strong foundation for them to achieve their goal.
