FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Operation: Job Ready Veterans Achieves
Candid’s Highest Seal of Transparency
Indianapolis, IN (April 5, 2022) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) has earned a 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by Candid, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing the world’s most comprehensive data tools on nonprofits, foundations, and grants. This is the third consecutive year OJRV has been awarded the highest seal level.
Seals help nonprofits demonstrate their transparency to potential funders and donors, which in turn affords funders with insights into a nonprofit organization and facilitates educated giving decisions. By providing this information, OJRV has demonstrated its commitment to being transparent and to giving donors and funders meaningful data to evaluate its impact.
“We are dedicated to providing the highest level of transparency and communication with the public, including those who financially support our work as well as those who are directly served and impacted by it,” said OJRV Executive Director Gene Anderson. “We are committed to making the greatest possible impact by reaching clients, potential donors, and volunteers in the most effective ways possible. Through our Platinum Nonprofit Profile with Candid, we can reach a worldwide audience—of more than 12 million people visiting annually—with our work and mission: bridging life’s transitional gaps for veterans, service members, and military families.”
To achieve the platinum level, OJRV shared extensive information in its Nonprofit Profile on Candid, including a strategic plan detailing organizational goals and how they will be achieved. To earn the Platinum Seal of Transparency, a nonprofit organization must also have completed the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Seal requirements. By transparently sharing metrics that highlight the progress OJRV is making toward its mission, the organization is helping donors move beyond simplistic ways of nonprofit evaluation and setting a higher standard for responsible stewardship.
OJRV has a solid history of successfully supporting veterans, service members, and military families through periods of transition, economic instability, underemployment, and unemployment. Continuously gathering data, analyzing client feedback, and tracking that information using Salesforce, the organization places a high priority on using these metrics to inform decision-making. OJRV constantly seeks to employ best practices in its work with clients—best practices guided by its mission as well as the most current data points available.
