FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Operation: Job Ready Veterans Achieves Candid’s Highest Seal of Transparency
Indianapolis, IN (November 14, 2023) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) has earned a 2023 Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by Candid, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing the world’s most comprehensive data tools on nonprofits, foundations, and grants. This is the fourth consecutive year OJRV has been awarded the highest seal level.
Candid’s seals allow nonprofits to communicate important information about their mission and impact and demonstrate to potential funders and donors that a nonprofit upholds the highest standards of transparency. By providing this information, OJRV has demonstrated its commitment to being transparent and to giving donors and funders meaningful data to evaluate its impact so they can make informed giving decisions.
“We are excited to share the work and impact of our nonprofit mission through our platinum nonprofit profile with Candid,” says OJRV Executive Director Gene Anderson. “Earning the Platinum Seal of Transparency demonstrates our continuous commitment to provide transparent communication with the public and allows those who financially support our work to confidently invest in our mission and directly grow the impact to benefit those we serve—veterans, service members, and military families.”
To achieve the platinum level, OJRV shared extensive information in its nonprofit profile on Candid, including a strategic plan detailing organizational goals and how they will be achieved as well as updated metrics to define its impact and outcomes. To earn the Platinum Seal of Transparency, a nonprofit organization must also have completed the bronze, silver, and gold seal requirements. By transparently sharing metrics that highlight the progress OJRV is making toward its mission, the organization is helping donors set a higher standard for conscientious stewardship and providing concrete tools for nonprofit evaluation to inform their decision-making.
OJRV has a solid history of successfully supporting veterans, service members, and military families through periods of transition, economic instability, underemployment, and unemployment. Continuously gathering data, analyzing client feedback, and tracking that information using Salesforce, the organization places a high priority on using these metrics to inform decision-making. OJRV constantly seeks to employ best practices in its work with clients—best practices guided by its mission as well as the most current data points available.
