“During my transition out of the Coast Guard, my biggest challenge was being able to translate my background, skills, and experience into equivalent compensation in the civilian world. Fortunately, I found support through OJRV’s various courses, employment coaching, supportive services, and compassionate care.

Deb from OJRV has been a constant source of support throughout my entire transition. From the beginning, she gave me access to OJRV resources that helped me craft my federal and regular resume. I also participated in a fellowship program, Focus Forward Fellowship, which is a partner of OJRV, for transitioning veterans. Thanks to OJRV’s assistance, I received multiple fellowship offers for roles in pharmaceuticals, banking, human resources, and program management. I am currently serving as a study manager at a large pharmaceutical company and am working toward an offer at the end of my fellowship.
