Deborah Walker
Women Veteran Outreach Director – Indiana
Deborah Walker continues to serve in the Air Force Reserves. She honorably served on active duty initially as a medic and then as a boom operator for 11 years before being commissioned as a chaplain candidate. An ongoing passion for Deb is to encourage resiliency and spiritual strength among veterans and their family members. She is excited about facilitating opportunities for veterans and their loved ones as they seek community resources and meaningful employment while overcoming transitional challenges.
Additionally, Deborah has a background in music, education, and divinity, possessing both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music. Her education allowed for opportunities to teach at Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne and Elmhurst University. In May 2023, she completed her master’s degree in divinity with a concentration in chaplaincy and pastoral counseling. Deborah seeks to provide humbly and compassionately for veterans, military family members, and current service members. She enjoys volunteering and serving both in the community and with her local church. She is a member of Team Red White and Blue, I Run for Michael, and the American Legion. Deborah and her family enjoy the outdoors, aviation, and travel.
