Alex Klosterman

Alex’s unique life experience makes her a wonderful addition to Operation: Job Ready Veterans. Originally from Ohio, Alex joined the United States Navy at 18 years old and was stationed in San Diego, California on the USS Stockdale (DDG 106). After four honorable years in the military, she went to Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. She embraced her adventurous side and enjoyed the great outdoors in Arizona, living off the grid for half a year. Alex strived to learn a variety of skill sets to allow her flexibility in life to face any challenge.
Alex’s ambition and determination to thrive, drive her to succeed at reaching her goals. Simultaneously a student at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with pursuit to transfer to DePaul University, she is also a fellow in the Focus Forward Fellowship of Purdue University’s Military Family Research Institute. This elite fellowship supports women student veterans to discover strengths, maximize benefits, and provides a supportive community in growth and leadership. Alex actively participates in organizations that align with her values. She is a proud member of Team Rubicon on the North Branch Team, a rapid response veterans’ organization that provides humanitarian aid and disaster relief support. She also dedicates herself to a charity marathon team for the local arboretum park and participates in Chicago running events. Alex hopes to continue motivating others by encouraging them to live a life they love and to never stop learning and growing.
