Gene Anderson:

Hello from lovely downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. My name is Gene Anderson and I serve as the Executive Director for Operation: Job Ready Veterans. I had the esteem honor of serving in the United States Air Force for many years in an elite unit. which included joint operations with various military branches. After honorably discharging from the U.S. Air Force, I continued to work closely with veterans in various locations around the world.

I later had the privilege of serving veterans while working for the Department of Workforce Development as a Local Veteran Employment Representative (LVER). This is where I truly identified my passion in life, which is to assist veterans, service members and military families. Having the opportunity to serve those individuals that have served our nation, or are currently serving, is truly rewarding for me.

My main role is to ensure that Operation: Job Ready Veterans is around for many years to come. This is done through the development of strategies that achieve our organizational goals. These goals include developing relationships with businesses, partnering with organizations, facilitating corporate sponsorships, and creating a culture that will allow for our organization to be successful. These responsibilities align with our organizational vision which is “Through sustainable programs and job readiness resources, we positively impact one person, one business, and one community as a time”.

Our team is extremely passionate about what we do here at Operation: Job Ready Veterans, and each of us believe in our mission, “Bridging life’s transitional gaps for veterans, service members and military families”. Maddie Farris:

“Greetings from Indianapolis, Indiana! My name is Maddie Farris, and I am the Marketing & Social Media Manager for Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV). Not only am I a military dependent, I still currently serve in the Indiana Army National Guard (INARNG). In the 11 years of my INARNG career, I have worked extensively in human resources and public affairs, both state side and overseas in Kuwait and Cuba. Not only do I look forward to continuing my military service, but also working with veterans, service members, and their family members.

Darron Hardy:

“Good morning, from the wet state of Mississippi and the city of Hattiesburg, I am Darron Hardy. I took a trip to the USO Club that opened on March 22, 1942 which now serves as the African American Military History Museum. I served in the United States Army Reserves for 33 years and 10 months. My role is that of Employment Transition Specialist with Operation: Job Ready Veterans.
