“My biggest challenge when transitioning from the military was the different experiences from military to civilian standards. It was difficult to go from having rules to no rules. Civilians just seemed so carefree.

I am extremely thankful for the help that I have received from my Employment Transition Manager (ETM), Kristal Watts. She is so patient with me in building my resume and figuring out my work value and what I want to do with my future. Kristal answered my call, text, or email any time I reached out to her. She has calmed my nerves about where I am headed with my future endeavors.

I recently received an HVAC position but would like to make more money, so Kristal has been instrumental in continually helping me search for a more valuable position. I must say that I am a lot more confident with interviews as well thanks to the help I have received from my ETM.

Directly after transitioning, I obtained a job in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and cooling (HVAC), and I have recently accepted a position as an HVAC service technician.
