FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Operation: Job Ready Veterans Awarded
Candid’s Highest Seal of Transparency

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 31, 2024) – Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) is honored to announce it has earned a 2024 Platinum Seal of Transparency, marking the fifth consecutive year OJRV has been awarded Candid’s highest level of recognition. Candid is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing the world’s most comprehensive data tools on nonprofits, foundations, and grants.

Through Candid’s seals, nonprofit organizations can communicate important information about their mission as well as their impact in the communities they serve. Candid’s Seals of Transparency recognize the commitment nonprofits make to being transparent, giving donors and funders meaningful data to evaluate its impact so they can make informed giving decisions.

“We are excited to be recognized by Candid for a fifth consecutive year,” says Gene Anderson, OJRV’s executive director. “Having our commitment to transparent communication with the public, with potential funders, and with all those we serve recognized in this way is a great honor. More importantly, through our Candid profile we know that those who financially support our work can rest confident in their investment in our mission and know that they directly, positively impact those we serve—veterans, service members, and military families.”

To achieve the platinum level, OJRV shared extensive information in its nonprofit profile on Candid.org, including a strategic plan detailing organizational goals and how they will be achieved as well as updated metrics to define its impact and outcomes. Nonprofit organizations that earn the Platinum Seal of Transparency must also have completed the requirements for the bronze, silver, and gold seals. By transparently sharing metrics that highlight the progress OJRV is making toward its mission, the organization is helping donors set a higher standard for conscientious stewardship and providing concrete tools for nonprofit evaluation to inform their decision-making.

OJRV constantly seeks to employ best practices in its work with clients—best practices guided by its mission as well as the most current data points available. With a solid history of successfully supporting veterans, service members, and military families through periods of transition, economic instability, underemployment, and unemployment, OJRV is proud to see recognition of its efforts to promote transparency and lasting impact by organizations like Candid.
